Large Format is "Go"!
On Wednesday, I received the film holders for my MPP Micro Technical camera, this finally freed me up to take some pictures (having had the camera and film since before Christmas!).
namke communications is a name under which I produce both photography and music.
Music is currently taking rather a back-seat to the photography at the moment, but if you're interested in what my music sounds like, check out the review of my 2003 single at Boomkat, or download some here
Photography is currently based around black-and-white film (35mm and medium format), developed and printed 'in house'.
Please get in touch if you have any commissions...

I've just come back from my local camera club ('York photographic society') where we had an 'exhibition' - actually a couple of CD-roms of prizewinning entries to a couple of competitions. The first was the FIAP: " FIAP 23rd Colour Slide Biennial 2004". Now, Ok, this is a few years old now but I thought it might be interesting.
Wrong.
I now have some filmholders (double-darkslides) to go with my recently-purchased MPP Micro-Technical camera. I bought the camera at a camera fair just before Christmas and spent a few contented hours getting the shutter up to scratch and making a temporary ground-glass screen.

Over the next week or so I will jumping onto the bandwagon currently being driven by Radiohead (but following on the heels of such net-label luminaries as Kikapu, Hippocamp, and phonocake), and will be making some of my music available for free download from this site. Higher-quality versions of the EPs will still be available on CDr (at a price of course).
I've started selling up some of my accumulated clutter in order to buy some stuff I actually want. My list (currently) is:
Of course, this is all going to take some time, and may require the shedding of a lot of stuff...
Submitted by namcom on Tue, 30/10/2007 - 22:13.At home, I have Virgin Media's cable TV service (ex NTL) and recently (well, earlier this year) they rolled out a nifty 'video on demand' (VOD) service. One cool thing is the 'catch-up TV' service, where selected programs are available for 7 days after their broadcast. This has been useful on a number of occasions when we've missed a program and can then watch it later.
Ok, so there's no such thing as a free lunch but this is close. Greasy Palm offer referral-based cashback; I was put onto it by my next-door neighbour - by signing up I earnt him money :-)
So, if you click on my referral link, then I'll get paid too :-)
Thank you
It's these kinds of details which leap out at me - I don't know how long this sign has been there, but it exudes character... Taken on Ilford HP5+ in November 2006.
